Benrus Military Hacking DTU 2A/P (Jan 1967) Watch
This watch is no longer for sale (sold on 2010-10-15)
Price : US $152.61
This is a second genuine Vietnam era US military watch I am selling this week. It is in one-piece parkerised stainless steel case, measures approximately 34mm across excluding the crown and 41mm lug to lug. Case back is marked:
MFG. PART NO. XZ 73065
FED STOCK NO. 6645-066-4279
CONTRACT NO. GS-00S-61940
SERIAL NO. 114357
DATE JAN. 1967
The watch came with a rare original Benrus dimpled crown in the same parkerised finish as the case. Movement inside is a high grade Swiss, signed Benrus 17J calibre DR2F2, which was based on ETA 2372. It has recently been cleaned, oiled and is keeping time. The hack feature is present and works.
The original black dial is in good condition with the luminous markers largely intact. The luminous filled white painted hands are also original to the watch but have aged. The watch comes with a vintage new unused military surplus nylon strap.
DTU-2A/P is a true Vietnam era watch, issued between 1964 and 1969 and made only by Benrus, before it was superseded by the GG-W-113 specification in 1969.
Please see my other listings of military and vintage watches this week, mostly from my own collection to make rooms for others.
International shipping at cost: A) $5 by registered airmail or B) $30 by insured EMS to most countries. EMS shipping is assumed for item value more than $150.
